Frantic Search For Lost Dog, Marty, On North Fork
"Marty is very skittish — so please, do not chase him."

SOUTHOLD, NY — The search is on in Southold for a lost dog, Marty, who went missing Monday.
"Marty is running loose and dragging his flexi-leash as of 11:45 a.m. today, April 29th, in the Founder's Landing neighborhood of Southold," a Facebook post said
He was last seen on Hobart Road heading toward the beach, but is thought to have run down to the town creek area.

"Marty is a rescue dog so he is very skittish," his owner said. "He tends to trust dogs much more than people. We are afraid that, because he was running and he had his leash attached to him, he is trapped in brush somewhere."
Marty, who is microchipped, is three years old. He is a small white poodle mix with a long tail. He has amber eyes, a few light brown patches —and he weighs about 13 or 14 pounds.
