Greenport Village Board Approves Artist's Proposal For Sculpture
The board approved for the local artist to install her sculpture at Mitchell Park.

Local artist Andrea Cote announced that during the Greenport Village Board meeting on Monday, her proposal for a temporary site-specific sculpture for Mitchell Park in Greenport, was approved.
The sculpture will be installed next summer, and exhibited in a preview at the Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport on Sunday.
Also on view will be a series of related photographs, silkscreens and video.

The sculpture was fabricated by Sponsors SFDS Fabrication and Design in Brooklyn and King Displays in NYC and funded through a Creative Individuals Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts.
The project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and is administered by The Huntington Arts Council, Inc.
