SOUTHOLD, NY — Hometown spirit and tradition were shining strong Saturday night at the Southold Fire Department's Steak Night dinner.
The tantalizing scent of grilling steak wafted through the air in downtown Southold, drawing crowds to pack the firehouse for the Protection Engine Company #1 event.
Friends and family shared laughter and good food, including sizzling steak cooked up by dedicated volunteers at the grill, baked potatoes, and salad.
