NORTH FORK, NY — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is tomorrow, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around the North Fork so you can start planning now.

What: The Greenport Fire Department's carnival fundraiser

Where: The Polo Grounds on Moores Lane with fireworks

When: The carnival will be held from June 29 to July 3.

Orient Harbor Independence Day Fireworks

What: A longtime North Fork summer tradition is back after the pandemic.

Where: The Orient Harbor Independence Day Fireworks take place over Orient Harbor.

When: The fireworks are scheduled for July 3 at 9:15 p.m. Rain date, Saturday, July 16 at 9:15 p.m.

Southold Village Merchants' Fourth of July Parade

What: The 24th Annual Southold Village Merchants' July 4 Parade

Where: The parade kicks off on Main Road in Southold and wends its way from Boisseau Avenue to Tuckers Lane in a burst of patriotic red, white and blue.

When: July 4 at noon

31st Annual Cross Sound Ferry Fireworks Benefits Cruise

What: The 31st Annual Cross Sound Ferry Fireworks Benefit Cruise. Donation $40 per person. Arrive at 6:30 p.m. for boarding; cruise departs at 7 p.m. and returns at 11:30 p.m. No alcoholic beverages to be brought on board. Food and beverages for sale on board. All proceeds to benefit charity, including scholarship funds for Greenport, Mattituck and Southold High Schools, and the Cindy Goldsmith Agosta Scholarship Fund.

Where: Orient Point Ferry, 41270 Main Road, Orient

When: July 9, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Alive On 25

What: Alive on 25 is a free summer street festival in downtown Riverhead offering local craft beverages and wine, live music, artists, street vendors and activities the whole family can enjoy.

Where: The free walkable, pop-up festival on Main Street features restaurant offerings, artist exhibitions, and much more.

When: Remaining Alive on 25 dates include July 15, July 29 and August 12; rain date August 19.

Fireworks at Riverhead Raceway

What: Family fun and fireworks at Riverhead Raceway.

Where: Riverhead Raceway, 1797 Old Country Road, Riverhead

When: August 13 at 9:30 p.m.
