Happy Thursday, neighbors and friends! George Giannaris, chef and owner of Hellenic Snack Bar & Restaurant, is opening his heart to help the people of Ukraine. He's offering a special menu next week, with all proceeds donated toward those in desperate need. It's that kind of caring, that readiness to do whatever is necessary to lend a hand to those less fortunate, that George has made a hallmark of Hellenic, where staff and customers are as close as family. Those are, truly, the kind of deeply imbued values that have made the North Fork a hometown for so many for generations.

So on Tuesday, head to Hellenic and order from the special menu; it's available for sit-down or to-go — and help him to help others a world away. That's the kind of thing that makes our North Fork truly home.
