🌱 North Fork Daily: 'Female Brew Crew' + Scholarships For Seth
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today on the North Fork.

Good morning, North Fork! In a beautiful show of North Fork love, a new foundation has been created to raise funds for arts scholarships in memory of a young man who died last year — hope born from tragedy. It's in the darkest hours that this incredible community comes together and finds a way forward through acts of kindness to help others.
Also, a "female brew crew" will team up this month to raise funds and fight back against domestic violence.
And finally, a mom is facing new charges after a crash that took the life of her little girl, District Attorney Ray Tierney said.
Until tomorrow. . .
First, today's weather:
A passing afternoon shower. High: 44 Low: 40.
Here are the top stories on the North Fork today:
- 'Female Brew Crew' Teams Up To Fight Back Against Sexual Assault: Women at nine North Fork breweries are collaborating to craft a beer for a cause on March 22 and 23 — helping to fight back against domestic violence and sexual assault. This year marks the third time that The Lady Brewsters of the North Fork will collaborate to brew a new beer during Women's History Month and donate the proceeds to a Long Island charity. - New Foundation Honors Memory Of Greenport Man Lost To OD: Tears flowed in the flickering candlelight at a vigil held in August to mourn unspeakable loss: A deadly batch of fentanyl-laced cocaine led to a rash of eight overdoses and six deaths on the North Fork and Shelter Island over eight days. In Greenport, those who worked with Seth Tramontana — one of those who died — were heartbroken. And now, a new group, the Gold Boots Foundation, has been created to honor his life and celebrate his legacy by funding scholarships in the arts.
Emily Kessler, who sits on the board of directors, said the 1st Annual Gold Boots Foundation Scholarship Fundraiser is slated to be held Friday, March 25, at Lin Beach House, located at 455 New York State Route 25 in Greenport, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.(North Fork Patch) - Artists Mission To Help War-Torn Ukraine: Shocked And Outraged: One local artist is donating proceeds from the sale of her work to the citizens of Ukraine, her homeland.
