Police: Laurel Man Suffers Traumatic Injuries After Crashing Into Median On Route 48
The man was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital and his jeep was impounded for safety checks.

A Laurel man was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for injuries sustained during a motor vehicle accident on Sunday at 12:25 a.m.
Adam Bishop, 33, was operating a 1993 Jeep Wrangler westbound on Route 48 in Peconic, when he left the roadway for unknown reasons and entered the median, subsequently overturning several times just west of Cabots Woods Lane, according to Southold Town police.
He was treated for multiple traumatic injuries at the scene by Southold Fire Department rescue and flown to Stony Brook University Hospital by Suffolk County Police helicopter.
