Police: Man Trespasses Into Greenport Home, Tells Police He Was Looking For Someone
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning.

A Greenport man was arrested for trespassing into a Greenport residence while the resident was home on Tuesday morning, according to Southold Town Police.
Matthew Goodyear, 34, was home in his bathroom getting ready for work when he heard someone walking around in his living room.

When he opened the bathroom door, he saw Anthony Chance, 34, standing there, according to police.
Goodyear questioned Chance and Chance told him he was looking for someone, police said.

Goodyear told Chance to leave and he complied.
Goodyear did not give Chance permission to enter his residence, police said.
Chance fled on a green mountain bike and was apprehended a few blocks away, according to police.
He was arrested for criminal trespass, transported to headquarters and released on $200 cash bail.
