1. The Riverhead Police Department is searching for two missing teens described as runaways from Little Flower Children's Services in Wading River. The department is also requesting the public's help in locating the two teens, Kiaralyn Delgado, 16, and Autumn Tucker, 14. According to police, they left the Little Flower campus together on Friday, Jan. 7 at approximately 3:20 p.m. (Riverhead Patch)
2. Using state funds, Southold plans to replace lead service lines in water distribution systems on Fishers Island, cutting Greenport from the equation. According to town engineer Michael Collins, the state Department of Health granted $611,363 under the Lead Service Line Replacement Program to the town, which did not apply for the funds, a few years ago. (Suffolk Times)
3. A missing dog has been brought home safely after it had been missing during last week's snowstorm. Friends and community members rallied to help find Jax and get him home safely. The searchers drove and walked the village streets trying to spot him. Jax was reportedly spotted on Tasker Lane about 3:30 p.m. and was later found on Saturday night. (North Fork Patch)
