Southold Students Start Fundraising Campaign

The students are raising money to donate to Charity: Water and Group for the East End.

Southold Jr. Sr. High School’s seventh graders are organizing a fundraising event that they have named the SOHO Cold Water Plunge for Clean Water.

Using the web tools developed by the non-profit organization Charity: Water, the students developed their own unique campaign, which seeks to fund clean water projects in Kenya.

The students will also donate a part of the proceeds from the cold water plunge to Group for the East End, a Long Island advocacy group that raises awareness about local environmental issues.
