NORTH FORK, NY — If you love charcuterie boards and pets, there's an event coming up that's a win-win.
A new fundraiser for The League — formerly known as the North Fork Animal Welfare League — takes place on Sunday, April 24, from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. "Learn How to Make Exceptional Charcuterie Boards," is hosted from their kitchen on the North Fork by a husband-and-wife culinary duo — author of 12 cookbooks Lauren Chattman and Jack Bishop, creative director for PBS's "America's Test Kitchen".
Participants can "get inspired for spring and summer entertaining" and learn the five essential elements of every successful board; simple food styling techniques to beautify a board; and how to shop your pantry for serving pieces and ingredients.
