Car Club Donates '65 Mustang to Charity
East to West Car Club of East Northport donated a restored 1965 Mustang to the Ronald McDonald House Charity of Long Island.
The East to West Car Club of East Northport recently donated a completely restored 1965 Mustang to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island to help provide shelter and support for families with a seriously ill child receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
The show-quality classic will be paired up with a 2012 Mustang and raffled off at the charity's 25th Anniversary Gala at CitiField in March. For just $100, both could be yours.
"1965 was the first year of the Mustang so that in itself makes it a very special model," said East to West Event Planner Dean Nichol.

The restoration was a full-club effort and took about six months--from interior, to paint, to mechanics, and costs. It's the first time East to West has donated a car, though they have a long track record of giving back to the community.
"We built our club with that charitable mind set in place and that's pretty much the mantra of our member base," said Nichol. "As long as we're around we're going to be working with charities."
