East Northport Fire Department responds to House Fire
Fast acting firefighters knock down blaze in under 20 minutes.

On the evening of Sunday, June 3rd, the East Northport Fire Department received a call for "flames in the basement" of a house on Valesite Court. Led by 1st Assistant Chief Dan Flanagan, the department responded in force and was able to control the blaze in under 20 minutes. ENFD was assisted in operations by firefighters from the Northport Fire Department and had units from the Commack Fire Department and Greenlawn Fire Department standing by if needed.
No one was hurt in the fire and only a small 12 year old canine needed some first aid treatment at the scene for some smoke inhalation. She is expected to make a full recovery.
