John Glenn Student-Athletes Make College Commitments

These students will take their academic and athletic talents to the next level this fall.

Eleven Elwood-John H. Glenn High School student-athletes signed their National Letter of Intent on May 19 to play their sport of choice in college. Surrounded by administrators, family members and teammates, the ceremony took place in the high school gymnasium where the seniors dressed in their new school attire.

Director of Athletics and Physical Education David Shanahan and Principal Carisa Burzynski began the ceremony by praising the students on their achievement of moving onto the collegiate level.

“As you go on to play in college, continue to make us proud,” said Mrs. Burzynski. “The leadership that you display on the field and in the classroom are great qualities that will help you assume leadership positions later in life.”
