Northport Lacrosse Club Supports JDRF

Each year the Northport Lacrosse Club chooses a cause to honor. This year our cause is Juvenile Diabetes. Recently Rollins College lost one of their players, due to complications with an illness. Will Hauver had Type 1 Diabetes. Will started an “egg crack challenge” last summer when he nominated his roommate, and former Northport Lacrosse player, Connor Ronan to crack an egg on his head to raise awareness for juvenile diabetes.

Lacrosse is truly a big family and as a Club we asked our NLC Players, parents, brothers & sisters to join us on April 1st at Veterans Park and held our own “Egg Crack Challenge”! We formed into a big #34 (Will’s Jersey #) on the hill next to the Flagpole.  A Drone above recorded the event, everyone cracked and egg on their head to raise awareness and support the ”JDRF Foundation”! 

The group nominated the Boys & Girls Varsity Lacrosse Teams, Jimmy Fallon and Ellen DeGeneres to do the ”Egg Crack Challenge”! We also have been selling uniform socks with a “1” on them and taking donations with all proceeds going to JDRF Foundation.
