Hundreds gathered along Larkfield Road as the annual parade made its way to John J. Walsh Memorial Park.

Hundreds gathered at the annual East Northport Memorial Day Parade sponsored the on Monday as it made its way down Larkfield Road from the IGA Supermarket to John J. Walsh Memorial Park.

The parade was punctuated with a moving wreath laying ceremony around the park's memorial garden and flag pole which was at half mast in honor of the fallen. A small stage was set up where 17-year-old Senior James Dickinson spoke about the true meaning of Memorial Day after winning an essay contest sponsored by the East Northport Knights of Columbus.
