Police Log: Car Plows Into Woods, Man Drains Pool on Neighbor’s Property

Monday, Sept. 13
At 2:41 p.m., police responded to a house fire on Crinkle Court to find the basement filled with smoke due to a problem with the boiler. Firefighters and officers remained at the home until the situation was under control.
At 4:15 p.m., police revived a man overdosing from heroin on Norwood Avenue. He was found lying on the bed not breathing. Read the full story here.

Wednesday, Sept. 14
At 4:32 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle that drove into the woods on Waterside Road. Officers remained on the scene directing traffic until Suffolk County Police arrived.

At 6:18 p.m., police responded to a Main Street location for a report of a hit-and-run. Police said the registered owner of the vehicle that was hit refused to cooperate and declined to file an accident report. The vehicle that left the scene was not located.
At 9:14 p.m., a 38-year-old Northport man was arrested for driving with a revoked license on Fort Salonga Road. He was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, refused chemical test and use of cell phone while driving.
Thursday, Sept. 15
At 2:09 p.m., a 56-year-old Northport man was arrested for draining his pool into another person’s property on Soper Avenue.
