Police Log: Heroin Overdose, Fight at Gunther's Tap Room

Friday, Aug. 28

At 7:53 p.m., police responded to a possible heroin overdose on Catherine Street. Police administered nasal narcan to the person and East Northport Rescue responded to the scene and took over patient care.

At 8:41 p.m., police responded to a Main Street location for a reported hit and run.

At 2:20 a.m., a 39-year-old Commack man was issued a field appearance ticket for second degree harassment (physical contact) after authorities responded to a fight in progress at Gunther’s Tap Room on Main Street.

At 10:43 p.m., police reported a disturbance in which youths were yelling in the park on Constitution Square. Officers arrived to the scene and told the youths to be quiet.

Monday, Aug. 31

At 12:44 p.m., police reported a Village Code violation in which three men were selling makeup without a Village Code ordinance on Main Street. They were told to stop selling merchandise.

At 6:05 p.m., police reported a lost New York motorcycle plate on Woodbine Avenue. A larceny affidavit was filled out.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

At 11:56 p.m., A 25-year-old East Northport woman was issued a field appearance ticket in lieu of arrest for unlawful possession of marijuana. The woman was originally pulled over for traveling through a stop sign on Woodbine Avenue and Beach Avenue.
