Police Log: Juvenile Alcohol Overdose, Woman Gets Leg Stuck in Chair

Friday, May 15
At 12:53 p.m., police reported that a cat was hit by a vehicle on Church Street. North Shore Veterinary contacted the owner, who was advised to go to police headquarters and retrieve the remains.
At 3:12 p.m., police reported an online computer scam on Scudder Avenue. Officers provided the complainant with an identity theft pamphlet and the person was advised to contact all of his financial institutions. Police said he filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission.

At 4:33 p.m., police responded to a woman who got her leg stuck in a chair on Maple Avenue. Officers helped the woman get her leg safely out of the chair.
At 10:47 p.m., police responded to a juvenile girl who overdosed on alcohol on James Street. Police arrived to the scene and found the girl unresponsive, but breathing. The property owner and friends told police she arrived to the residence already intoxicated. Officers did not notice any signs of underage drinking. The girl was taken to Huntington Hospital.

Saturday, May 16
At 3:23 p.m., police responded to a person who fell out of bed and became unconscious on Main Street. Northport Rescue transported the person to Northport VA Hospital.
Sunday, May 17
At 2:46 p.m., police reported a boy was hit in the face with a baseball at Steers Park on Clipper Drive. Northport Rescue responded to the scene and took him to Huntington Hospital.
At 3:06 p.m., police reported a village code violation in which officers removed several real estate open house signs from village property. The signs were taken to headquarters where real estate brokers were able to pick them up.
At 4:58 p.m., police reported criminal tampering in which unknown people egged a home on Franklin Street on multiple occasions.
