Man Stabbed With Steak Knife Inside Baldwin Bar
Assault occurred Thursday night, police say.

Police are searching for a man who pulled out a steak knife and stabbed another man inside a Baldwin bar Thursday night.
The incident occurred at Cafe Oasis, located at 779 Brooklyn Avenue across the street from the Baldwin LIRR station, at about 8:30 p.m.
While inside the bar, police say a 48-year-old man became involved in a verbal argument with an unknown man, police said.

The argument escalated and the unknown man withdrew a steak knife and stabbed the victim in the neck, causing a large laceration and heavy bleeding, according to police.
The assailant, described as as Asian man in his late 40s and about 5-foot-5, then fled the bar in an unknown direction, according to police.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he received stitches to treat his wound, police said.
