Police Log: Man Arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs

Tuesday, March 31

At 3:22 p.m., police arrested Ian Vandeurs, 22, of Annetta Avenue, for selling a controlled substance. Officers followed Vandeurs into his bedroom and found a pipe containing marijuana residue in plain view. Vandeurs was charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.

At 6:16 p.m., police arrested Stacey Hill, 41, of Newport Avenue in Selden, and charged the suspect with attempted burglary in the second degree and possession of burglar’s tools.

At 1:15 p.m., police received a report of a dog in the streets near Seaview Terrace. Officers arrived and found the dog on the neighbor’s property lunging at the mailman. The owner was issued a field appearance ticket for an unleashed dog.

At 3:11 p.m., police arrested a 43-year-old Farmingdale man for a violation of the Environmental Conservation Law. He was charged with dumping of waste into a waterway and sewer use of prohibitions.

At 3:30 p.m., police arrested a 33-year-old Northport male and charged him with criminal contempt in the second degree after violating an active stay away order of protection.

Friday, April 3

At 3:40 p.m., police arrested a 45-year-old Northport male and charged him with petit larceny.

At 10:51 p.m., police arrested Brian Palmieri, 40, of Woodruff Court in Huntington, and charged him with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Palmieri was arrested after he was involved in a motor vehicle crash.
