Police Log: Man Was Harassing Customers and Staff at Tim's Shipwreck Diner

Monday, April 27

At 12:41 p.m., police reported a disturbance in which a customer was harassing other customers and staff at Tim’s Shipwreck Diner on Main Street. The business owner told officers the man has been an ongoing problem and he wishes to sign a Trespass Affidavit. The man was told that he will be arrested if he returns to the diner.

At 1:39 p.m., police reported a dispute that occurred over Facebook on Waterside Avenue. The complainant said a person told him to “watch your back” during a Facebook exchange. Officers advised him to block the person on Facebook and no longer contact him.

At 4:20 p.m., police reported an erratic driver that almost hit a vehicle while pulling out of the post office parking lot on Main Street. Officers interviewed the driver who did not appear intoxicated or impaired. The driver said she was in a rush and apologised if she alarmed the complainant.

Tuesday, April 28

At 10:59 p.m., police received a report of a possible intoxicated driver who was driving on the wrong side of the road on Main Street. Officers searched the area and did not locate the suspect.

At 11:30 p.m., police received a report of a domestic incident on Fort Salonga Road. The incident then turned into a possible heroin overdose in McDonalds. Officers searched the area and did not locate the suspects.

Wednesday, April 29

At 3:40 p.m., police reported a suspicious event in which a grey-haired white male in his sixties who was down at the dock area on Constitution Square. The man was telling passerby that he was going to “get a room” and that he wanted to “fight somebody,” police said. He then entered a grey sedan and left eastbound on Main Street. Officers did not locate the suspect.
