Police Log: Reports of Underage Drinking, Drunk Man Causes Disturbance at Bagel Shop

Excerpts from the Northport Police Department log.

Tuesday, May 12

At 7:10 p.m., police received a call that someone made social media accounts that were impersonating someone else on Locust Road. Officers advised the subject, who took the accounts down. The subject told police she would never do it again.

At 9:13 p.m., police reported items that were possibly stolen from a pile of garbage on Hawkins Drive. The complainant told police the garbage was spread out over the backyard from the high winds, which possibly explains why she thinks the items are gone.

Wednesday, May 13

At 10:41 a.m., police assisted a woman who suffered injuries from a fall at Northsport Athletic Facility on Fort Salonga Road. Northport Rescue took the woman to Huntington Hospital.

At 11:19 p.m., police received a report of underage drinking at Napper Tandy’s on Laurel Avenue. Officers located two underage individuals, but they were not seen possessing or consuming alcohol. The underage individuals left the establishment. Officers did not observe an Alcohol Beverage Control violation.

Thursday, May 14

At 4:40 p.m., police received a report of a dog that was left in a vehicle on Main Street. Officers found that the dog was fine and had enough ventilation.

Friday, May 15

At 5:34 a.m., police reported an intoxicated man that was causing a disturbance at Country Hot Bagels on Fort Salonga Road. The man told officers that someone behind the counter wrote “F U” on his cup. The staff said that the man’s friend ordered a french vanilla cup of coffee and left him there. Officers advised the man to leave and he walked home.
