Police Log: Teens Throw House Party While Mom's on Vacation
Excerpts from the Northport Police Department log.

Friday, April 10
At 11:20 p.m., police reported a suspicious event in which a white vehicle was following a postal vehicle near Nautilus Avenue. The driver of the white vehicle turned out to be a postal inspector conducting an inspection.
At 4:43 p.m., police assisted a man who was possibly suffering from a stroke on Fort Salonga Road. He was transported to Huntington Hospital.

At 11:15 p.m., police reported a disturbance in which teens were drinking alcohol and possibly using drugs at a house party on Scudder Avenue. Officers broke up the party and contacted the homeowner, who said she was on her way home from a retreat. Her ex-husband was supposed to watch the kids and house, police said.

At 12:06 p.m., police reported a parking complaint in which a vehicle was blocking the driveway on Main Street.
Sunday, April 12
At 8:16 a.m., police reported a parking complaint in which a pickup truck was parked and unattended for about 10 days on Woodhull Place. Officers spoke to the owner who said he left his car at that location while he was on vacation.
At 9:31 p.m., police reported a domestic incident in which a former significant other refused custody of their child on Garfield Street.
