VIDEO: Delahunty to Play in Empire Challenge

Will represent Long Island in annual football all-star event. Glenn's Ryan Rielly will also play.

Jack Delahunty will play in the annual Empire Challenge all-star football game Tuesday, June 21 at Hofstra University.

Delahunty, who will play wide receiver in the game, will represent Long Island on the gridiron one last time as they look to beat the New York City team in the game meant to raise awareness for cystic fibrosis and youth football for the Boomer Esiason Foundation.

“It’s a lot of fun playing with all the guys I’ve played with in the regular season,” Delahunty said. “It’s a little less intense, so it should be fun.”

There have only been two other players from Northport who have been selected to the game since its inception 16 years ago. They include Chris Burnham (1997) and Ryan Campbell (1997).
