'2 Counties, 1 Cause' Basketball Tourney to Benefit Children's Cancer Research
Nyack is among the high school teams participating Jan. 14.
NYACK, NY — Nyack High School is participating in the first-ever "Two Counties, One Cause" boys basketball tournament.
The tournament begins at 3 p.m. Saturday when Nyack squares off against Scarsdale, followed by Pearl River against Yorktown, and closing with Tappan Zee playing Hendrick Hudson at 7 p.m.
This event is to awareness and money to fund critical research for neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. All the money raised will be donated to the Children’s Tumor Foundation. There will be raffles throughout the day and the winner does not need to be present.
