If you’re an loyalist, you'll happily eat a bowl of organic yogurt, granola and fruit—standing, if a table or seat can't be found.
No matter how busy or crowded the place is in the winter time, you'll search out the nearest spot to have great eggs and wheat toast or, in the spring and summer, hit the porch or the front lawn and perhaps enjoy a little people watching.
Well, there’s all the more reason to visit now. Art Café has just expanded, doubling its capacity and even adding an espresso bar. What was once two indoor rooms has now grown to four.

"It was definitely needed," explained owner Daniel Kramer.
The Kramer family started planning for an expansion last March, and finally reached an agreement with their neighboring business owner at 65 South Broadway to take over the spot in September. The expansion was completed last month.

“Even with all the drastic changes implemented, it’s been smooth," Kramer said.
Those changes also include hiring additional staff. “And we’re still hiring,” Kramer added.
The Art Café is also working with a designer to implement new listing of teas and desserts, and a new, updated menu. However, the same great items that regulars have become accustomed to—the combination of healthy Middle Eastern and Mediterranean eats—can still be had until 9 p.m.
And more room means more space to do things—like host events. In early April, Kramer and crew hosted the Green Meadow Waldorf School Art Show. The night featured artwork and jazz music.
Additionally, the Art Café is developing the SmArt Lecture Series, a forum where locals who are passionate about their profession or hobby can share their knowledge with the community.
"So far we have a professor and a nutritionist," Kramer said. "The main purpose is to sell the idea. If the person has a book to sell, it’s not about selling the book, but sharing the idea."
