Assault in Memorial Park

Janice White of Nyack faces charges of felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with an incident in Memorial Park.

Orangetown police were alerted to a possible assault involving a weapon in the Park at 2:51 p.m. Nov. 28.

Patrols came upon a man with a severe laceration to the right side of his face. He required immediate emergency care at Nyack Hospital.

After an investigation, police determined that White had had an altercation with the victim and slashed him with a bladed instrument.

The 40-year-old was arraigned on the charges and sent to Rockland County Jail.
