Astorino and Day Team Up to Push for Tappan Zee Funding Plan
The County Executives of Westchester and Rockland will call on Gov. Cuomo for a specific plan for how the state will pay for the new span.

With bridge construction funding continuing to be an issue, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino and Rockland County Executive Ed Day will hold a joint press conference Monday in Nyack to call on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to disclose “a clear and concise” plan to pay for the new Tappan Zee Bridge.
The two will use the backdrop of the construction to emphasize their point that a complete plan is needed, and they will offer a “partial solution” for the state. What that solution is has not yet been disclosed.
The press conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Memorial Park in Nyack. Below is the pair’s announcement.
