Bridge Work: Traffic Stop In Rockland Early Friday

A mobile construction crane is to be moved.

NYACK, NY — Work on the new NY bridge near the Rockland County landing will require the use of a mobile crane in the median separating the New York State Thruway’s (I-87/I-287) northbound and southbound traffic lanes.

Tappan Zee Constructors (TZC) will move the crane to the median during the early morning hours of Friday, July 7, requiring a single traffic stop at approximately 4 a.m.

The traffic stop, to be conducted by New York State Police, of the four northbound/westbound Thruway lanes near exit 10 (Nyack – South Nyack – US Route 9W) is expected to last up to 10 minutes.
