Car Hits Man on Christmas Eve in West Nyack
The pedestrian's injuries are severe but not life-threatening, police said.

At 5:30 pm Dec. 24, a pedestrian was struck by a passing motor vehicle on Rt 303 in West Nyack in the vicinity of the Palisades Center Mall, Clarkstown police said.
The pedestrian, a 29-year-old Congers man, suffered severe but non life-threatening injuries to his legs and right arm.
He was transported to Nyack Hospital for treatment and subsequently transferred to Westchester Medical Center.

He was not within a crosswalk—in fact had climbed over the center-dividing guard rail when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Route 303.
The driver , 25, is also from Congers.

The Clarkstown Police Department Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the accident. It does not appear at this time that the driver of the involved vehicle was at fault, and weather and poor visibility were possible factors, police said.
