Did You See the Meteor Last Night?
A Piermont resident was among the hundreds from Ontario to Virginia who saw a fireball streak across the sky last evening.

The American Meteor Society has received 330 reports about a fireball seen over Rockland County— in fact, seen from Maine to Maryland at around 6:40 p.m. Dec. 29.
“Saw it out of my north-facing window, assumed it was just a firework,” said a Piermont resident who had second thoughts and reported it to the AMS.
“It seemed very bright compared to anything else I have seen around here,” wrote a Bronxville resident.
