The OUTSIDE-IN will exhibit new work by artist, Norman Galinsky. Portals is a collection of abstract paintings and drawings that capture energy in its stillness and its movement, in its chaos and in its order. The collection is inspired by the artist’s background in science and engineering, and by his life-long interests in quantum physics, metaphysics and consciousness. The works are intuitively-generated through a process of organizing geometric components within fields of small, repetitive hand-drawn marks. The exhibition, Portals, opens with a reception on May 21, 2011 from 2-5 p.m., and runs through June.
