"Shalom Rockland is a project of the Jewish Federation of Rockland County, meant to highlight all that’s great about making your home and living in Jewish Rockland. The program is meant to address the demographic changes in our Jewish community by reaching out to young families eager to make a move and settle down.

The program is an outgrowth of  “Shalom Rockland: A Guide to Jewish Life,” produced in 2010. The guide highlights Jewish organizations, synagogues and agencies along with businesses to promote the community.

Our next big project is Shalom Rockland Day from 1-5 p.m on Sunday, April 10 at the beautiful Rockland Jewish Community Campus in West Nyack. If you’re local, join us for all the fun. Or get in touch now. We need volunteers to plan and help run the show.

If you’re from out of town, come enjoy a day in our community on us. There will be free buses from Manhattan and lots of fun for the kids. Parents can learn about financial incentives that will make your move to Rockland County within reach.

Shalom Rockland, we’re closer than you think."
