Day Of 44-Year-Old Drunk Unlicensed Drivers In Nyack: Cops

A Nyack man faces charges, as does a Florida resident.

NYACK, NY — Two 44-year-olds who encountered Orangetown police on Saturday in Nyack face charges for unlicensed driving — while intoxicated.

Cesar Serrano of Hollywood Florida was stopped at 1:53 a.m. Saturday on Polhemus Street for traffic violations. Police said when they spoke to him he showed signs of intoxication: bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and an odor of alcohol on his breath.

They discovered his license was suspended.

The 44-year-old failed sobriety tests at the scene and a breathalyzer test at headquarters. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, misdemeanors. He was released on bail and is due in village court Oct. 24.

Eugene Reese of Nyack was stopped on Route 9W at 7: 21 p.m. Oct. 14 for numerous traffic violations. They noted the same signs of inebriation, police said. Reese, 44, failed numerous sobriety tests at the scene, they said.

They discovered his license to drive was suspended.

He was transported to Orangetown Police Headquarters where he refused to take a breathalyzer test. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Both are misdemeanors. His court date is Oct. 31.
