HV Workforce Academy Repeats Healthcare Analytics Course

training Rockland County workers in high-demand skills

Beginning Oct. 21, the popular Healthcare Analytics course will be offered again by the Hudson Valley Workforce Academy.

Last spring the course sold out quickly, enrolling 40 participants from 13 healthcare organizations in the region. Afterwards, the feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive.

This year it will run from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesdays for five weeks at the Westchester County Association headquarters, 133 Westchester Avenue, White Plains.

Instructors are academic and industry professionals with expertise in digital innovation, Big Data, data mining, and health informatics who are from, Iona College, Fordham University Deloitte, and Pace University. They will demonstrate to those with little or no experience with analytics how to use Big Data in their decision-making. The interactive sessions will explore how data and healthcare analytics are used to inform operations and drive outcomes such as enhanced profitability, lower costs, and improved patient outcomes. A certificate will be provided upon completion of the course. The cost is $595 per person, payable at www.westchester.org [note: there will be a hyperlink].

All courses offered by the Hudson Valley Workforce Academy are developed in collaboration with the region’s employers, and focus on training the existing workforce in high-demand skills.
