Key Largo is an original play
written by James Maxwell Anderson, who was an American playwright, author,
poet, journalist and lyricist. He lived
on South Mountain Road, in Rockland County.
He is most well known for Key Largo, his 1939 Broadway play that became
the basis for the Academy Award winning 1948 film by the same name starring
Humphrey Bogart, Edward G. Robinson and Lauren Bacall. His daughter also wrote a book, South
Mountain Road: A Daughter's Journey of Discovery. Anderson also wrote
the Pulitzer Prize winning play, Hi Tor, named for the summit overlooking the
Tappen Zee portion of the Hudson River, near where Anderson lived in Rockland
County.
Richard Quinn, most recently
directed the premiere of Wild Children, a play written by Vincent Pastore, of
HBO’s series, The Soprano’s.

Key Largo cast includes John
Bale, Nick Byrne, Michael Deluca, Peter Elfant, Jeff Golda, Sonya Harum,
Mercedes Kent, Joe Remy Dolinsky, Katie Segal, Jim Triola, Rhea Vogel, Ulises
Arroyo and Mauricio Rubellos.
