Nyack Businesswoman to Receive Award from LGBT Senior Group
SAGE's annual Awards Gala showcases its commitment to diversity and inclusion and highlights its support for the wellbeing of LGBT elders.
A Nyack resident will be among the honorees when SAGE hosts its 21st Annual SAGE Awards and Gala Oct. 17 to celebrate the organization’s accomplishments and honor individuals whose unique contributions have helped to advance the LGBT rights movement.
This year’s honorees include Donald Capoccia and BFC Partners, Kevin Cathcart (Former Executive Director of Lambda Legal), Dr. Yanira Cruz (NHCOA) and Jennifer Hatch of Christopher Street Financial.
Hatch, who lives in Nyack, has been the owner and President of Christopher Street Financial since 1997. According to CSF, she began her investment career at JP Morgan and then Bear Stearns where she specialized in two institutional markets: high yield bonds and later, global equities. She is a co-chair of SAGE’s Leadership Committee, and is also involved with the efforts of Family Equality Council and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. She believes that it is CSF’s duty to be both an activist and major donor in the LGBT community. In addition to developing creative solutions to the financial dilemmas of same-sex couples, she is responsible for managing CSF’s team of investment advisors and other professionals.
