Nyack Chamber's 31st Annual SeptemberFest Street Fair Set For Sunday

Admission to the street fair is free, and parking is free throughout the village.

NYACK, NY, — Summer gets a great sendoff at Nyack’s 31st annual SeptemberFest street fair, set for this Sunday, Sept. 10 in Nyack on Main Street and Broadway. Presented by the Nyack Chamber of Commerce, the fair runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free, and parking is free throughout the village.

Organizers said families and fun-seekers shouldn’t miss this special event, featuring over 300 vendors with something for everyone — jewelry, art, photography, collectibles, antiques, quality handmade crafts, unique gifts and much more. The fair features live entertainment, plus great food, outdoor dining and activities for the kids. Fairgoers can also enjoy Nyack’s many shops, pubs and restaurants offering SeptemberFest specials.

The event is once again sponsored by Autobahn Indoor Speedway, according to a spokeswoman.

Of special interest again this year, kids of all ages can join the circus for a day, taking in free Amazing Grace CIRCUS! demonstrations in Memorial Park. Circus Family Fun Day includes tightwire walking, unicycles, juggling, human pyramids and more – all with performances and help from the circus performers.

Musical entertainment, organized by event manager Mark Mangan, begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m., weather permitting. Performing live on the Nyack Chamber Stage on Main and Cedar streets:

  • 11 a.m. Jeff Rubin — acoustic guitarist, formerly of Oingo Boingo
  • 1 p.m. Jeff Doctorow — acoustic guitar
  • 2:30 p.m. Dead Meat — Grateful Dead tribute band
  • 4 p.m. Richie Ranno’s All Starz

While grown-ups groove to the music, the fair will offer plenty for the younger set, with kids’ games and bouncy houses in the Main Street parking lot.

“The September street fair has always been a great tradition in Nyack,” said Scott Baird, Nyack Chamberpresident. “We’re proud to celebrate our 31st year with great fun for families throughout the tri-state area.”

“As an added bonus, our friends from the east side of the Hudson can travel the new Mario M. Cuomo bridge to join us in Nyack — a great experience to remember for many generations. All fairgoers can check out the bridge project from Nyack’s observation deck in Memorial Park,” he said.
