Orangetown Police Save 2nd Overdose Victim in 2 Days
Officers just trained to use Narcan used it on an Upper Grandview woman.

A Orangetown police officer administered Intranasal Naloxone to save the life of a 31-year-old Upper Grand View woman for the second “Narcan” save in as many nights.
The officer saved a Nyack man using Narcan the previous evening.
The Orangetown Police Department received a 911 call Oct. 31 reporting a drug overdose in a residence on South Broadway in Upper Grand View. Upon arrival at 8:50 p.m. the officer found a woman sweating profusely with a rapid heart rate and extremely shallow breathing. The officer administered Intranasal Naloxone and her condition improved dramatically in about 3 minutes.

Rockland Paramedics responded and continued treatment of the 31-year-old. Nyack Ambulance then took the victim to Nyack Hospital for additional treatment. She was conscious and alert when she was taken to the hospital, police said.
