Recycling is Now Once a Week in South Nyack

Get a bin from Village Hall if you don't have one already.

Recycling is considerably more cost-effective than trash collection, said South Nyack village officials announcing that to better meet the demands of residents, the village negotiated a weekly recycling collection.

The change to an every-Thursday pickup comes at an increased cost equating to 74 cents per resident, per year.

Tonnage data for both recycling and trash is being compiled to help the village continue to optimize the value of its solid waste services.
