Walk Like MADD 2016 Honors Haverstraw Baby Victim of Drunk Driver

It's not too late to join the fight against drunk drivers by participating in Westchester Walk Like MADD 2016 — by walking, sponsoring a walker, donating, or all three.

Where: Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park, 2957 Crompond Rd., Yorktown Heights, NY 10598

When: Registration 9 am, Opening Ceremony 10 am, Walk 10:30 am Oct. 22

Registration Cutoff: 5 p.m. Friday

Donation Cutoff: noon Dec. 31

There's a Walk Like MADD event in Fairfield, CT on Saturday as well. Rockland County held one Oct. 1, where 123 participants raised $8,827, above their goal of $5,000.

Westchester's event organizers are hoping to raise $50,000.
