Sinkhole Closes Piermont Avenue
a watermain break is the cause; seek alternate routes while it's being fixed

Rockland County officials issued an alert after a sinkhole appeared on Piermont Avenue in Nyack.
The road is closed between Hudson and Depew avenues as crews work to repair the water main. Officials estimated it could take two to three hours.
