STAC Opens the Bloomberg Professional Laboratory

Students to Benefit from State-of-The Art Bloomberg Professional Laboratory

(SPARKILL, NY—September 30, 2015)— St. Thomas Aquinas College opened the Bloomberg Professional Laboratory, announced Dr. Fitzpatrick, president of the College. The project was generously supported by Sterling Bank and the Alden Trust.

“At St. Thomas Aquinas College, we are dedicated to preparing our students to compete in a global marketplace after graduation. The Bloomberg Professional Laboratory is one example of the innovative resources available to our students and faculty and we are extremely grateful to our benefactors, Sterling Bank and Alden Trust, for making this possible,” said Dr. Fitzpatrick. “Our students will benefit from the Laboratory’s variety of educational tools and its use will enhance the academic experience for any path they choose,” she added.

The Bloomberg Professional Laboratory provides students with the same platform for news, data, analytics, and research used by the world’s leading banks, corporations, government agencies and public policy makers, law firms, libraries, energy companies, and media outlets. The Laboratory offers students real-world training and experience, whether they are studying business or a program in the arts & sciences.

Bloomberg covers the world with more than 2,300 news and multimedia professionals at 146 bureaus in 72 countries. The College’s faculty is trained by Bloomberg professionals and students have exposure to influential professionals and career opportunities through the Bloomberg Aptitude Test service. The Laboratory is complete with 12 Bloomberg computer terminals, ticker tape sign and flat screen televisions.
