STAC Sponsors "Teaching by Tales Using Storytelling in the Classroom" and 20th Storytelling Festival

St. Thomas Aquinas College along with the Rockland Reading Council and Rockland Teachers Center, are to host “Teaching by Tales - Using Storytelling in the Classroom” on Wednesday November 4th, 2015 at 4:30pm in the St. Thomas Aquinas College Library.

Teaching by Tales - Once upon a time we taught through stories. It is still an effective way to engage children and help meet curricular goals. This workshop demonstrates techniques and tips for using storytelling and creative dramatics to teach. This is a voice on workshop, with no experience necessary.

The presenter for this workshop is Jonathan Kruk, M.A. Ed., Master Storyteller.

The 20th Annual Rockland County Storytellers Festival will be held on November 15th, 2015 from 1:30pm - 5:00pm at the King’s Daughters Public Library in Garnerville.

Featured Storytellers for the event are Christopher Agostino, April Armstrong, Elise Krakower, Jonathan Kruk, and Pamela Schembri.
