State Police: Hudson Valley Duo Arrested on Weapons, Narcotics Charges

Gina Cerciello, 26, and William T. Cropley, 53, were arrested on a host of weapons and narcotics charges Jan. 30 after state police raided the pair’s Sullivan County home and found more than 130 guns and heroin, marijuana and prescription drugs, according to authorities.

Seized were “134 long guns, 4 assault rifles, 1 electronic stun gun, and 2 handguns,” police said in a statement. The handguns and several of the long guns had been reported stolen from Pennsylvania.

The raid at the Haring Road home in Lumberland was the result of a joint narcotics investigation by the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, Troop F Liberty, the State Police Special Operations Team and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s office, according to police. The amount of drugs seized was not disclosed.

Charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana was William T. Cropley 53 and Gina Cerciello 26 both from 251 Haring Road, Lumberland, New York. Cerciella arraigned before the Town of Callicoon Justice Honorable Edward McKenna and remanded to Sullivan County Jail on $15,000 bail. Cropley arraigned before the Town of Highland Justice Honorable Anthony LaRuffa and committed to Sullivan County on $75,000 bail.
