Stolen Credit Card, DWI, Reckless Driving: Orangetown Police Blotter

Here are some of the recent incidents to which Orangetown police have responded.

  • On Oct, 17 at 4:28 AM the Orangetown Police Department arrested Colette Telfort, 25, from Nyack, NY. Telfort allegedly ran up a $437.72 bar tab at a Nyack restaurant and attempted to pay using a stolen credit card. She was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree (felony) and Theft of Service (misdemeanor). Telfort was arraigned in Nyack Court and remanded to the Rockland County Jail on $1,000 bail.
  • On Oct. 18 at 3:30 AM the Orangetown Police Department arrested Diana E. Wheeler, 22, from Congers, NY. Wheeler was stopped for speeding on North Highland Avenue and found to be operating her vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and under the influence of alcohol. She was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st degree (felony) and DWI (misdemeanor). Wheeler was released to a family member and is due in Nyack Court on November 17, 2015.
  • On Oct. 18 at 6:55 PM the Orangetown Police Department arrested William C. Conway, 27, from Nyack, NY. Conway was observed operating a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Burd Street with the head lamp off and no helmet. He fled when the officer activated his lights and sirens and drove in a reckless manner on several Nyack streets. Conway was charged with the misdemeanors of Reckless Driving, Unlawfully Fleeing an Officer and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle as well as numerous traffic violations. Conway was released on bail and is due in Nyack Court on November 12, 2015.
