Watermelon Radishes Shine from the Inside at Piermont Farmers Market

Common Hands Farm, a biodynamic farm in Hudson, NY, offers watermelon radishes, baby arugula, squash varieties, sweet potatoes + more

Hello Piermont! Farmer Tess from Common Hands Farm, a weekly vendor in the Piermont Farmers Market, recently shared that they will have baby arugula, squash varieties, sweet potatoes, watermelon radishes, among many other delicious fall foods this Sunday, October 11th.

Also at the Piermont Farmers Market this week, the rotating day vendors are:

  • Arlotta Foods (artisanal olive oils and vinegars)
  • Bien Cuit (Old World French breads)
  • Bombay Emerald Chutney Company
  • Christiane’s Backstube (baked goods in German/Austrian tradition)

There’s also fantastic coffee -- both cups to enjoy on site and bags to go -- from XQuisite Coffee. The market also has pasture-raised meat, eggs, cheese, pickles, Asian dumplings, and more.

Tess from Common Hands also asked us to pass along the recipe below to their Piermont customers. Watermelon radishes look like any ‘ol root, but once you slice them open, they really shine. (photo from HealthyHappyLife.com)
