3 Parks Along The Croton River Closed Through Labor Day: Village

The Croton River is flowing too high and fast because of the deluge from post-tropical cyclone Ida.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — Due to continued flooding from the Croton River, village officials have decided to keep three of their shoreline parks and recreation areas closed through Labor Day weekend.

Echo Canoe Launch has reopened as the tides have subsided.

Closed through Monday: Silver Lake, Mayo’s Landing, and Black Rock Park.

"Please respect the DPW barricades and do not sightsee in these areas," village officials asked.
