The Briarcliff Manor and Antipasti di Napoli Trattoria & Bar in Briarcliff Manor held a Grand Opening celebration last week to officially announce the restaurant and catering venue are now open for business. Over 175 local residents, businesses, Chamber of Commerce members, village employees and dignitaries were on hand for the celebration complete with complimentary refreshments, hors d’oeurves, dinner and deserts for guests to enjoy. Restaurant owner Perry DiNapoli, of the DiNapoli Restaurant Group and former owner of Antonees on Broadway, was assisted by the Mayor of Ossining, Victoria Gearity as well as several other dignitaries for the official ribbon cutting ceremony on the front steps of the new venue.

The Grand Opening celebration also gave the invited guests a chance to tour the beautiful mansion on the hill built in 1902, formerly Maison Lafitte and most recently the Haymount House and the surrounding grounds. Live music was provided by Gene DiNapoli of Lightning Entertainment, specialty drink samples by Bacardi were available and event sponsors Linda Rey of Rey Insurance and George Cutrone of David Lerner Associates were on hand for the event. Several members of the Rising Tides Alliance (RTA), a networking organization which represents local businesses also supported the grand opening event. WFAS radio produced a live remote from the event and DiNapoli was interviewed on air and by News12 for the evening news.

Stanley Silverstein, Executive Director of the Institutes of Applied Human Dynamics (IAHD) raised $500 by selling raffle tickets throughout the event. The prizes were donated by the Haven Spa in Pleasantville and The Briarcliff Manor. The IAHD is a non-profit business based in Tarrytown that provides services for people with developmental disabilities in Westchester County and The Bronx.

Last month DiNapoli went above and beyond to give his surrounding neighbors a special invite only Block Party event so he could spend time getting to know the families who live near the restaurant. DiNapoli, who brings over 25 years’ experience in the industry, personally went door to door with his team to deliver invitations and shake hands with over 100 local homeowners who attended the unique event.
